The original:
Seldom an armoured vehicle has excited the minds of experts and laymen in such a manner, how the tiger of the German armed forces.
During only two years (from August, 1942 to August, 1944), in which the tank was produced, 1354 copies rolled off the assembly line. Single producer was Henschel, and of course some other enterprises were involved in the manufacturing of numerous components.
The tiger was an extremely robust and strong tank, whose actual achievement excelled the originally planned parametres, not least, because the standard implementation was about 11 tonnes heavier than the prototype! Only his size, the armoured thickness and his big, destructive cannon made him the winner on the battlefield, however, required at the same time also many working hours and very high production costs. For every tiger one needed 300.000 working hours and 800.000 imperial marks. In the same time you could build 2 panthers and buy three fighter aircraft from the type Messerschmidt Bf 109 for the same money.
With the tiger I it concerned to the first German tank, by whom overlapping, staggered running wheels were used successfully. They were produced originally of concave steel discs with solid tyre, were substituted in the second half of the production phase, nevertheless, with elastic-stored discs with steel tyre. This is also the most remarkable differentiation sign of both types Tiger I early and Tiger I late.
The tiger was driven originally with a 12 cylinder petrol engine HL 210 P45 by Maybach with an achievement of 650 HP. Nevertheless, in May 1943, it was substituted of restricted efficient 21 l of engine with 50 HP stronger HL 230 P45 (23 l).

The kit:
With our kit it concerns an in every detail faithful effigy of a tiger 1 early with solid tyre. All parts are made out of metal and with priority aluminium is used. Many parts are cast parts which were reworked on the treatment centre, but also turned parts and milling parts are included. The chain is from cast aluminium. Etching parts and screws are included also.
In the kit are all parts contained, which are necessary for the entire construction of a model. Neither driving parts nor a remote control are included. However, of course, the models are preprepared for this purpose. All necessary screws are contained. The model is screwed with priority, but at some places glue must be also used. All together the kit exists of approx. 5.000 parts. The assembly is unproblematic and to finish with easy tools. Indeed, a certain measure of endurance is necessary, which is recompensed then by a quite special model in the graduation 1/10.
The finished model:
With the finished model our kit is built up to a ready tiger I. The painting occurs according to your wishes. The model receives 2 engines and is driving-ready. Not included are cruise control, accumulators and the remote control.
